Asset performance management

Asset performance management, often shortened to APM, means keeping an eye on the equipment your business relies on, so it gets serviced before it fails. Big companies use sensors and software for this. A small team can do the same thing with a shared list and a few reminders. For a cafe, the assets might be the espresso machine, the fridges, and the dishwasher. For a day spa, it's the massage beds, the steamer, and the laundry machines. Logging every service and fault in one place means you can see which machine keeps breaking and when it's cheaper to replace than repair. AI can read that log and flag what's due. It can't hear a strange noise, so staff still need to report problems.
