Causality engine

A causality engine is software that tries to work out cause and effect in your data. Most reports show what happened together, like sales rising in the same month you ran a promotion. A causality engine tries to answer whether the promotion caused the rise, or whether something else did. That's a hard question, and small teams should be careful with any tool that claims to answer it for sure. Still Water Day Spa in Noosa saw rebookings rise from 31% to 44% over three months after we set up follow-up messages, but a new booking system rollout in the same period also helped. Honest reporting names both causes. Owners usually know the other factors better than any software.
