Data platform

A data platform is the system that gathers your data, stores it, and makes it ready to use. It's the engine behind one home for your data. For a big company, it's a large project with its own team. For a small business, it can be as simple as a well-organised Airtable base or a small database that your tools feed into each day. The platform matters because it decides what your reports and AI helpers can see. A homewares store with orders, supplier invoices, and customer emails in one platform can answer questions that cut across all three. Keep it as small as it can be while still doing the job, because every extra part needs looking after.
