Digital systems and technology

Digital systems and technology is a broad name for all the software, devices, and online services a business runs on. For a small team, that's the laptop and phone, the email and file storage, the store or booking system, the accounts software, and the apps in between. Over time, most small businesses collect more of these than they need, and the tools don't talk to each other. A simple stocktake helps. List every system, what it does, who uses it, and what it costs. Then look for overlap and gaps. The goal isn't more technology. It's fewer tools that work well together, so your week has fewer manual steps.
