Digital twin

A digital twin is a digital copy of a real thing that updates as the real thing changes. Big organisations build digital twins of buildings, machines, or whole cities, fed by sensors, so they can test changes on the copy before touching the real thing. For a small business, a full digital twin is rarely worth it. A lighter version can still help. A venue might keep a floor plan model to test table layouts for different event sizes. An online store might copy its stock and sales into a spreadsheet model to test what happens if a supplier runs late. The copy is only as good as the data feeding it, so keep it simple and current.
