A plain plan for where AI fits in your online store
The Shopify app store is full of AI add-ons, each promising to run part of your store. Most small stores install two or three and use none of them well. We start from your week instead. You tell us where the hours go, and we write a short plan that names the first job for AI, the apps it connects to, what it costs, and what stays with you. One job running well beats five add-ons half set up.

What an e-commerce AI plan covers
The first job
One job that repeats daily or weekly, like order emails or supplier invoices, picked from what you tell us.
The apps it touches
Which of Shopify, WooCommerce, Klaviyo, Xero, or Gmail the first AI helper needs.
What stays with you
Returns, complaints, product decisions, and anything that spends money, written down so nobody hands them over.
Cost and order
Which package fits your team, and the order the next jobs come in.
Where online stores are with AI
Most small store founders have tried AI already. A chat tool for product descriptions. An add-on that promised to write emails. A help desk bot that customers didn’t like. Each tool was fine on its own. What was missing was a decision about which job, in this store, with this team, was worth setting up properly first.
What goes in your plan
Your AI plan (the industry calls it an AI strategy) is a short document written for your store. It names the first job, how an AI helper will do it, which apps it reads from, and what a person checks. It also says what comes next and what it costs. For a store with a busy inbox, the first job is often order emails. For a store with lots of suppliers, it’s often getting invoices into the accounts. The plan comes from your week, not from an app listing.

Two stores, two first jobs
We work with a three-person online skincare store where the first job was order emails. The founder now clears them in about twenty minutes each morning, and returns still go through by hand. We also work with a five-person online homewares store where the first job was supplier invoices. An AI helper drafts each bill in Xero, the bookkeeper approves them in one sitting a week, and overseas invoices in other currencies are still done by hand.
What a plan can’t promise
A plan shows where the hours go and how to get some back. It can’t promise more sales. If you’re mid-move from one store platform to another, the plan may say to wait until that’s done, and we’ll tell you so.
